MediaEdge Communications and IFMA Toronto announce partnership

Toronto, ON - MediaEdge Communications and the International Facility Management Association, Toronto chapter (IFMA Toronto), are pleased to announce their partnership for the annual IFMA Toronto FM Education Day. The 2014 event will be held on Tuesday, June 3, during the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) National Conference and Expo, Building Lasting Change. Both events will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

“We are very pleased to be working with IFMA Toronto in relation to their annual FM Education Day,” says Chuck Nervick, Senior Vice President with MediaEdge. “In 2013, we acquired CFM&D (Canadian Facility Management & Design) magazine, which is geared toward facility managers and corporate real estate professionals. These professionals comprise a large per cent of IFMA Toronto’s overall membership and this new partnership allows us to broaden our relationship with them. We are impressed with the overall format and attendee numbers of previous IFMA Toronto FM Education Days and we look forward to being an active participant in the coordination and promotion of this year’s event.”

The IFMA Toronto FM Education Day brings together facilities industry experts from across the province and offers attendees and delegates access to best practices and business solutions through a variety of educational sessions and presentations. Attendees will also gain exposure to innovative facilities management services and products through vendors and exhibits at the Building Lasting Change tradeshow.

“IFMA Toronto FM Education Day will be occurring during the annual CaGBC Building Lasting Change conference which we are also actively involved with,” says Nervick. “Since energy efficiency and sustainability are of great importance to the members of IFMA Toronto, it made strategic sense to include the FM Education Day as part of the CaGBC event.”

IFMA Toronto FM Education Day participants will partake in their event on June 3, but attendees are encouraged to return for the final day of the Building Lasting Change conference and tradeshow on June 4. Through this additional offering, valuable networking and educational opportunities exist.

“IFMA Toronto is very excited to partner with MediaEdge to deliver our annual FM Education Day,” says Jason Bates, President at IFMA Toronto. “Our partnership will enable IFMA Toronto to continue to grow and build on our very successful FM Education Day events. Further, by co-locating IFMA Toronto’s FM Education Day with the Canada Green Building Council’s national conference, IFMA Toronto chapter members, FM Education Day participants and Building Lasting Change participants will have access to even greater learning and networking opportunities. As the President of the IFMA Toronto Chapter, I am very excited to have an opportunity to raise the profile and importance of IFMA Toronto within the facilities management profession. IFMA Toronto FM Education Day has proven to be successful and we’re excited to see the evolution of this important event.”
